Summary:

The Quality Engineer Intern is responsible for assisting the quality team with activities that improve manufacturing efficiency and support compliance to industry standards. Working closely with experienced engineers, the intern will gain exposure to failure analysis, process improvement, and supplier quality management. This practical experience provides the intern with the opportunity to develop a diversified skill set and contribute to innovative solutions that are important to both their professional growth and NAI’s business success. 


 This Internship is for Summer 2026. 


Salary

$16.50-$25.00 per hour

Requirements

  • Interface with production and engineering teams to help resolve quality issues.
  • Assist the quality department with sorting and transacting defective material.
  • Support failure analysis activities and help prepare reports under engineer supervision.
  • Participate in failure review board (FRB) and process improvement projects.
  • Interact with suppliers to support quality improvement and compliance with specifications.
  • Assist in conducting industry-standard audits and maintaining compliance documentation.
  • Help collect and organize quality-related data for analysis and reporting.

 Qualifications and Education Requirements:  

  • Enrolled in an Engineering or related program (such as Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering).
  • Fundamental understanding of mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment.


 Preferred Skills and Abilities: 

  • Coursework, projects, or prior internship experience related to quality engineering or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Exposure to statistical process control (SPC) or data analytics tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with curiosity and desire to learn new technologies.
