Summary: 


The Test Automation Engineer Intern is responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of test setups that support NAI’s production processes. Working closely with the test automation team, the intern will gain exposure to both hardware and software aspects of automated testing systems. This practical experience provides the intern with the opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions that are important to both their professional growth and NAI’s business success.


This Internship is for Summer 2026.   


Salary

$16.50-$25.00 per hour

Requirements

  • Assist in the design, build, and configuration of test setups under the guidance of engineers.
  • Support the maintenance and operation of automated testing tools and systems.
  • Participate in documenting configurations and build procedures.
  • Help identify, document, and track bugs or issues during testing activities.
  • Assist in the use of automated testing tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineers to learn root cause analysis techniques for test failures.
  • Contribute to discussions on process improvements and efficiency opportunities.


 Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Enrolled in an accredited Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering program.
  • Fundamental understanding of electronics, circuits, or embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with general-purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

 Preferred Skills and Abilities: 

  • Coursework, projects, or prior experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Exposure to automated testing tools or frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, Pytest).
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting.
  • Interest in test system design and production support.
  • Self-motivated with curiosity and desire to learn new technologies.
