Who We Are:

Tactical Aerospace is a premier supplier for Avionics/Aerospace grade complex electronic embedded systems. We design, integrate, and manufacture avionics, mission computers, payload electronics, sensors, AI systems, test systems, and modeling/simulation for the defense market. This position is on-site and in the Dayton (Beavercreek), OH office.

Objectives of this Role:
  • Manage a Business section and the Dayton, Ohio office for the Tactical Aerospace Department.
  • Manage the team of engineers while working with program managers to manage technical and programmatic aspects of all programs within the section.
  • The Dayton office is centric to Neuromorphic Computing AI, Modeling & Sim, Human Factors and UAS/CCV while supporting programs across the Tactical Aerospace Department which includes embedded complex electronics for the aerospace/avionics markets.
  • Grow the business organically through Business Development, marketing, writing proposals and developing estimates for customers.
  • Customer interaction and growing the section is a significant part of the role.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Manage resources within the department such as, performance reviews, keeping resources utilized on programs, hiring, personnel issues, and dealing with office issues/maintenance.
  • Manage Internal Research and Development within the section.
  • Grow the section through marketing, business development, writing proposals, creating estimates, and finding business opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent engineering degree with related experience.
  • 10 years: Technical engineering experience with at least 4 years experience as a technical engineering manager.
  • Shown experience writing proposals, developing estimates, and presenting to/managing customers.
  • Shown expertise in processes, development, test, integration, V&V, and qualification of complex embedded electronic LRU's. This include the utilization of RTOS systems.
  • Basic understanding of AI, modeling, simulation, and UAV/UAS/Drones.
  • Background in Aerospace Market is helpful and related to this role.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
Special Requirements:

Work assignment is in Dayton, Ohio. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
